The holder of the voucher may upgrade (extend the length of the trip, add additional activities), however the holder will be responsible for any and all additional costs associated with the upgrade. Extra rooms & nights are available for an additional purchase and will be offered at a family & friends special rate for those who took part in this campaign
Can we bring kids?
Yes, definitely. TALAY is very family friendly. We have 2 x rooms that accommodate a small family or you’re welcome to book as many rooms as you need. Extra costs may be applied for extra rooms.
What purposeful things can we do?
One of TALAY’s core values is ‘Social Impact’ So, as we look towards the future, preparing to move into a new community in a new province, before we can put meat on the bones of ‘how The TALAY will make a social impact on the local community’, our first plan is to connect with locals and start forming relationships listening to them tell stories hearing their heart.
We are currently in the construction phase building THE TALAY retreat facility and each time we visit the construction site, we have made it a point to eat lunch at a different local restaurant to start networking and connecting with the wider community.
Of course, we already have many social impact ideas and over the last decade living and being part of the Thai community, there are many things we know of and see that we can assist in helping.
Some people have been asking us what are the local community development projects we will be involved with. We want you to know, that we will not be making any claims of our future social impact endeavours until we are there, rooted into the community, have relationships and have heard loud and clear what the hopes and dreams of the local community are.
We’re so excited to get to know our new community who will be both, the local Thai’s and all the travelers that will come through The TALAY doors. And, we are chomping at the bit to launch our Holiday Workshops where people will be able to come & participate in the exchange of skills & knowledge which we hope will inspire purpose as well as help meet the needs. So, if you want to come and stay at TALAY and are interested in running a workshop, contact us and lets talk about it.
TALAY’s Social Impact mission also goes beyond the local community and we are already in discussion with health professionals who together we are curating Health Holiday Programs that will address issues such as mental health, depression & anxiety. So, if you are a therapist or run retreats, contact us so we can talk about collaborating together.
Do i have to participate in projects or workshops if I come to TALAY?

Whats the best time of year to come?
This depends what you’re into.
November – April is considered the dry season and best for island hopping, snorkeling, scuba diving.
May – December is surf season. It’s the monsoon season but it doesn’t rain everyday. It’s common to have rain in some part of the day and then sunny for the rest of the day. The monsoon is also what brings the waves to the west coast of Southern Thailand making it the best time to come if you want to score some fun mellow waves. Prices are often cheaper in this time also.
Can a bunch of us come together?
Absolutely!
TALAY has 8 private double rooms with ensuite bathrooms and 1 multi-share room (6 beds) with shared bathroom.
Can I cancel/re-schedule my booking?
If you are coming to stay with a voucher from the TALAY kickstarter campaign then these dates have limited availability. It’s best to contact us to see if it’s possible to change your dates.
Vouchers are non-refundable however, in the case that you can not come between years 2026-2030 then you are welcome to give away your voucher to a friend or family member to use.
Where can we surf?
TALAY is located on Natai beach which is a long beach with multiple spots to surf with different types of banks.
There are also many options only 45 minutes to one hour drive away so loading up the truck with boards and going for a half day or full day surf hunt is definitely on the cards.
Can we rent boards?
TALAY has it’s own surf school called TALAY SURF
We have many different boards for you to rent so, you don’t have to travel with your own board if you don’t want too.
