TALAY is a social impact business project with the vision of building a holiday retreat facility in southern Thailand to host and run ‘Holidays & Vacations with a purpose’.
This vision was born from the observation that people are searching for
purpose and connection to something bigger than themselves.
CAMPAIGN STORY
For the last 15 years, The TALAY team have been involved in many community development projects, creating community and empowering people to dream big and to discover their purpose in life.
The TALAY team’s vision of building this retreat facility has already begun. Construction is currently 50% complete and we aim to be open by the end of 2024.
This is where you come in!
We are looking to raise $100,000 AUD through this campaign to help with the completion of the construction of the building.

LOCATION
TALAY is located on a long white sandy beach just north of the famous tropical island Phuket in southern Thailand. The area is quiet & surrounded by stunning scenery including waterfalls, view points & islands. There are many attractions close by and travel is easy with TALAY located only a short 25 minute drive from Phuket International Airport.
WHO IS TALAY FOR?
TALAY is the meeting place for community minded people. It’s a place for anyone looking for a fun, unique and meaningful holiday experience where people leave inspired as well as rejuvenated. TALAY is a place where there is a focus on human connection and learning from each other through the exchange of skills & knowledge all while enjoying the beauty of Thailand.
HOLIDAYS & VACATIONS WITH A PURPOSE
We understand that a great way to find purpose is by participating in activities that get outside of ourselves. TALAY’s mission is to help impact the community by offering opportunities for guests on their holiday to run workshops teaching others new skills. This is designed to help travellers make a positive impact on the world by the sharing of knowledge, building of relationships, helping to create jobs and spark something new in themselves. Please note, ANYONE is welcome to just come and holiday at TALAY without having to participate in any program.
MENTAL HEALTH RETREATS
TALAY’s mission is to also meet the global need of people suffering from anxiety, depression, loneliness & overall mental health. Generally speaking health retreats are focused on personal growth and healing. TALAY understands that for this to truly happen there must be a focus on deeper relationship & connection to more than yourself. TALAY’s retreats are designed to provide this opportunity and take people’s Health to a new level.

Terms & Conditions (FAQ)
- This TALAY Kickstarter Campaign is offered subject to the terms and conditions set out below “Terms and Conditions”.
- ‘Buying bricks’ is considered a free gift towards the TALAY project
- ‘Make a HUGE IMPACT’ funding option is considered a free gift towards the TALAY project
- Voucher stays at TALAY received from this campaign can be used from January 2026 and must be used by 31/12/2030. Vouchers not used within this time will be forfeited with no entitlement to refund or exchange.
- Voucher stays can not be used between these dates 20th December – 10th January
- The voucher is good for the length of trip designated on the voucher. The holder of the voucher may upgrade (extend the length of the trip, add additional activities), however the holder will be responsible for any and all additional costs associated with the upgrade. Extra rooms & nights are available for an additional purchase and will be offered at a family & friends special rate for those who took part in this campaign
- Vouchers have no cash value and can’t be used with any other offer from TALAY however, Stays bought through this campaign are allowed to be given away to other people. If this is the case then the original voucher holder must send an email to TALAY informing them of the exchange and details of the person they are gifting this to. Details include Full name, Email, Contact number.
- Limited number of stays available each month and year. Availability is based on priority booking, first in first served. Bookings & enquiries can be done by contacting stay@thetalay.com.
- In the case of a natural disaster or unforeseen circumstances out of TALAY’s control your booking dates may need to be rescheduled.
- This campaign TALAY is looking to raise $100,000 AUD to help towards the completion of the construction of the building. The TALAY team has already started construction and is currently 50% completed with the goal of opening by the start of 2025. We recommend not to book flights until the hotel is complete and you have confirmed your available stay dates with the TALAY team..
- Flights, extra meals & activities are not included.
- TALAY reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.

Having a passion for social impact business projects, they have set up and run multiple successful projects in Thailand, and now have a vision to build TALAY by constructing a sustainable boutique retreat facility that would provide ‘holidays & vacations with a purpose’
